What kind of tips/submissions are you looking for?

• we are interested in knowing about recent developments in Music, Visual arts, poetry, DIY, etc, contact us about featuring your Concerts & Events, we will share your event in our next zine or publication! we include Cds, Dvds, and Flexi's in our Quarterly Reports, We release a comp every month or two, and issue a zine about once a month, other special releases and ephemera when we feel like it.

What is 5tyl.us?

-5tyl.us is a quarterly music and culture Publication, we also write Zines, we Document and promote Concerts, Operate a Tape Label, and Share A love For Counterculture.

So Why are you Doing this?

• because since we've been involved in music we've noticed a steady decline in music journalism, and scene documentation, think of all the Myspace bands that become lost Media, all the concerts that were only recorded as Instagram stories, We Think Local Scenes Have Value.

So you do physical releases? will you sign my band?

• Feel free to send us a link to a demo, or a recording!

• We Dont "sign" bands as we feel contracts are often not to the benefit of artists, we do however feature music in our zines, so basically we will send you a release form, and you can give consent to let us share your art in a very limited fashion, we will let you know if we are interested in putting out a Limited Tape or Compilation that features your music. if you want more copies we can produce extras for you as well.

Can you Come Document My Show, How much will it cost?

• absolutely! we have two Photographers on call right now, let us know about your project, if its a multi band bill, we recommend seeing if each of the bands can pitch in a proportional amount so we can cover expenses related to travel and Time for Basic editing. Our most basic setup is one person with a Canon C100 cinema Camera shooting room audio, but we prefer to have access to a line coming off the front of house mixer or digital multitracks at least so we have a bit more to work with sound wise. cost scales according to labour involved, honestly talk to us and we will work something out that is shockingly reasonable.

Can you Distro My Bands Tape?

• We Will make sure the tape is available to order through our network of Friends around the world as well at events we organize.

How Much Does it Cost To Run This Site? why does it look like this?

• so far about $30 a Year, always accepting donations!

• I believe that the internet should present information in as straightforward and accessible of a way as possible, this blogging platform is incredibly quick to load, and loads well on any browser. its simplicity also means we don't have to run a complex system that requires renting a server, or ADs or any other B.S.
